Ryan S. Curran, CPA, JD – Managing Principal
Ryan Curran began his career in public accounting in 2007 while completing his undergraduate education. After gaining experience at several highly regarded regional public accounting firms in the New York and New Jersey area, Ryan founded Curran & Company in 2012. From the beginning, his goal has been to provide high-value, high-quality tax, accounting and advisory services to small and midsize companies as well as individual clients.
As an entrepreneur, Ryan brings practical insight and meaningful advice to our firm’s clients on a wide range of tax and business matters. His extensive experience in personal financial management and individual taxation also allows him to provide sound and impactful guidance to our individual clients.
Ryan’s expertise includes:
- Tax planning and compliance for closely held businesses and individuals
- Preparation of audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements for businesses, with a focus on bonding or banking requirements
- Resolution of Federal and State tax issues, including sales and income tax audits, offers in compromise, installment agreements and penalty resolution or abatement
- Advisory services related to the financial viability of buying and selling real estate, business interests, fundraising and financial projections
Education & Licensure
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Rutgers Business School in Newark, New Jersey, graduating with honors. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School, attending evening classes from 2012 to 2016.
Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York and New Jersey and an attorney authorized to practice in New Jersey. He actively practices law through a wholly owned entity unaffiliated with Curran & Company.
